LONDON YOUTH GAMES

The London Youth Games has been running since 1977 and is now Europe’s largest annual youth competition. Access Sport and British Cycling successful lobbied for BMX to be included as one of the sports, and in 2012 Greenwich BMX hosted the inaugural competition. In 2013 the race was hosted by Hayes Hawks in Hillingdon.

The BMX race is now a fixture in the London Youth Games, held once a year at one of London’s 8-up race tracks. Riders compete for their borough and are required to live in or go to school in that borough.

2014 Date: Sunday 8th June
