BMX Radio Challenge at Burgess Park BMX track on Saturday 19th April

On Saturday 19th April (Easter weekend) Peckham BMX Club (www.PeckhamBMX.co.uk) will be hosting the first ever race event at the track featuring local radio DJs and BMX riders to compete to win the BMX Radio Challenge trophy.
We are looking for people like YOU – all ages and abilities – to get racing on the day. All you have to do is visit the Burgess Park BMX track during 20th March to 17th April, either on Thursday evenings 6.30pm to 8.30pm, or Saturday mornings from 10.30am to 1pm and tell coach CK and his team that you’re interested in taking part.
When you arrive you’ll be asked to ride the track so we can assess your skills and we’ll keep a note of your contact details. All you then have to do is show up on the event day at 10am and the first 100 riders to arrive will race on the day.

Event day programme on Saturday 19th April
10am to 12pm – Rock up and ride – coaching sessions for all levels
(First come first served so it’s essential to arrive early to set up and avoid disappointment)
12.30 – The fun day event starts
- BMX demos pro riders and expert club riders
- Celebrity DJs from your local radio stations
- Strider bikes for two to five years
- Learn how to repair your bike with trained BMX bike mechanics
From 1.30pm there will be racing by age groups with awards and great prizes being presented at 4pm, with another chance to ride the open track before the event finishes at 5pm.
They’ll be great music playing all day, healthy and tasty food on sale, and the best BMX performances on display – all you’ve got to do is turn up!
