Get to grips with our new S.T.E.M. Programme

14-11-2014

STEM is an acronym for the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.  STEM Education has been a major priority at schools and higher education level for the government for a long time now.

Following a partnership with the USA BMX Foundation, Access Sport is launching the STEM BMX Curriculum in the UK created by the aforementioned American foundation.

This is a manual package that will be available for purchase to all schools (primary and secondary) in the UK.

By purchasing the manual you will be provided with all the resources required for the facilitation of the lessons.

The eight-module curriculum is designed for 30 hours of educational programming filled with photos, step by step walk-through and outcomes.

By using BMX to teach STEM the idea is that we can engage those pupils that are not normally involved in sport and conversely we can use this unique delivery to get pupils more interested in these subjects as it will be different to their normal lessons.
